Srinagar Jammu Vande Bharat Express: Union Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw has announced the extension of the Vande Bharat Express service operating between Srinagar and Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Katra up to Jammu Tawi Railway Station.

With this extension, passengers will now have direct connectivity between Srinagar and Jammu Tawi, enhancing ease of travel across the region and reducing transit time for commuters and tourists.
Coach capacity increased
The train will also be augmented to 20 coaches, significantly increasing passenger capacity and catering to growing demand on the route.
Boost to tourism and pilgrimage
The move is expected to benefit pilgrims traveling to Shri Mata Vaishno Devi shrine as well as tourists visiting Jammu and Kashmir, providing faster and more comfortable travel options.
