Baba Bageshwar: Nitish Kumar blasts Dhirendra Shastri over his ‘Bihar will ignite Hindu Rashtra fire’ remark; Lalu Prasad asks ‘who is he?’

Baba Bageshwar: Nitish Kumar, the chief minister of Bihar, criticised self-styled godman Dhirendra Krishna Shastri, also known as Bageshwar Dham Sarkar, for saying that Bihar would be the source of the ignition of the Hindu Rashtra. “Baba Bageshwar” is holding a five-day congregation in Patna, Bihar. Nitish Kumar slammed Shastri’s remark, claiming that those who were making it about Hindu Rashtra weren’t even there when the Constitution was created.

“After fighting for independence, the Constitution was created, and the name given to it ought to be palatable to all…Was everyone who is claiming this born during the struggle for freedom?… Why is this necessary to say? Embrace whichever faith you like. But renaming suggestions are unexpected. Is it even possible? asked the chief minister of Bihar. He emphasised, “They must comprehend the Constitution.”

Bihar CM Supports Religious Freedom

According to news agency ANI, the chief minister of Bihar also stated that the state government respects everyone’s right to practise their religion in accordance with their own beliefs. Shastri reportedly called his supporters “pagal” during his “Divya Darbar” session since he had to postpone the “aarti” due to worries that the audience had apparently beyond the venue’s capacity. When questioned why Dhirendra Shastri was able to hold an event in Patna without interference, Lalu Prasad Yadav responded, “Who Baba? What about a Baba? Earlier on Monday, during Dhirendra Shastri’s ‘Divya Darbar’ session in Patna’s Naubatpur neighbourhood, hundreds of followers became ill.
