Baruipur News: In a disturbing case from Baruipur in the South 24 Parganas district of West Bengal, the body of a minor girl was recovered from a pond on Sunday, sparking widespread unrest. The alleged gang rape and murder of the girl triggered widespread violence in the area, with a youth suspected to be involved in the crime being lynched, while police personnel were also attacked by the mob, which disrupted rail and road traffic for several hours.

How the Incident Played out
The girl left home to go to a nearby shop at about 4 p.m. Saturday but did not return, and her family reported her missing after searching overnight without finding her. Later her body was found stuffed inside a sack near a pond, enraging residents.
- The case has resulted in the arrest of two persons, while one other suspect was nabbed by locals and handed over to police.

The party demanded action and said with the hashtag #JusticeForBaruipur, “After getting this information, a huge number of police personnel and barricades were placed outside her residence to stop her from leaving the house.
Baruipur News: The opposition has targeted the BJP-led state administration over its security cover, but the BJP’s state spokesperson said it was a normal procedure to have a routine police presence at Banerjee’s residence in view of her Z-plus security cover and not an act of restriction.
