Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath Unveils Vision for Waterways and Mobility Boost in Uttar Pradesh

CM Yogi Adityanath: On Wednesday, Uttar Pradesh’s chief minister Yogi Adityanath proposed the creation of a new agency that would look into the possibility of creating additional waterways there. Additionally, it will develop policies to offer more affordable mobility options to support the state’s micro, small, and medium-sized businesses (MSMEs).

Boosting Industrial Parks in Uttar Pradesh

Yogi Adityanath was speaking at an event held in this city to announce the first installment of the PLEDGE project, which will provide a total of 16.89 crore towards the building of private industrial parks in Aligarh, Saharanpur, and Kanpur Dehat. He gave three checks for the creation of these exclusive parks. Yogi Adityanath asserted that the first waterway in Uttar Pradesh, which runs from Varanasi to Haldia, is operational and that the new body should carry out a survey as part of its duties.

Wooden Product Design Institute in Saharanpur

Additionally, he requested that the MSME department establish two institutes to support entrepreneurs in Saharanpur and Aligarh. Saharanpur ought to be the site of the institute, which would train local businesspeople in the design of top-notch wooden products. He advised the other institute to support those establishing units in the Aligarh node of the defensive corridor. The chief minister criticised the previous Samajwadi Party administration for “not having the vision” to link the state’s many cities and regions.

Lack of Connectivity in the Previous Administration

When his government took office in 2017, he claimed that Uttar Pradesh had the Yamuna Motorway while the Agra-Lucknow Motorway was still under construction. According to the chief minister, the previous administration had no formal plan to link up the eastern section of the state with the western region and the major cities. He emphasised Uttar Pradesh’s boundless potential and stated the state administration had projected this to the country by creating new programmes. He claimed that Uttar Pradesh has created programmes like the One District One Product and Vishwakarma Shram Yojana that the union government had also adopted.
