In a post shared on social media, CM Yogi reflected on the temple’s thousand-year-old legacy, calling it a testimony to India’s unshakable faith, courage, and creative spirit.

CM Yogi Adityanath stated that despite centuries of foreign invasions, hatred, fanaticism, and repeated attempts at destruction, the eternal strength of Indian faith and civilization has remained steadfast. He emphasized that Somnath stands as proof that India’s spiritual consciousness could never be defeated by force or destruction.
Referring to the present grandeur of the Somnath Temple, the Chief Minister credited Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel’s determination, Dr. Rajendra Prasad’s deep faith, K.M. Munshi’s relentless efforts, and the sacrifices of millions of followers of Sanatan Dharma for its reconstruction. According to CM Yogi, the majestic form of Baba Somnath seen today is the collective result of national resolve and spiritual dedication.

The Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister further praised Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership, stating that under his guidance, “New India” is celebrating its cultural pride through the Somnath Swabhimaan Parv. He said the festival symbolizes joy, creation, and resurgence rising over the dust of destruction left behind by historical aggressors, including figures like Mahmud of Ghazni.
CM Yogi Adityanath highlighted that Somnath Swabhimaan Parv conveys a powerful message — truth can never be defeated. He described the celebration as an expression of India’s timeless Sanatan values and cultural self-respect.
Expressing gratitude to Prime Minister Narendra Modi, CM Yogi thanked him for his efforts toward the preservation and promotion of India’s glorious Sanatan heritage. He reaffirmed that Somnath Mandir will continue to inspire generations as a beacon of faith, resilience, and cultural pride.
