Delhi AIIMS: Beginning on April 1, all fees at the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) will be paid entirely online. There won't be any financial transactions of any type. As part of a trial initiative, AIIMS and SBI Bank launched the AIIMS Smart Card facility on April 1st of last year. Payments for all services, including breakfast and lunches and numerous examinations, are made with its assistance. It keeps a complete record that is auditable.

As part of a trial initiative, AIIMS and SBI Bank launched the AIIMS Smart Card facility on April 1st of last year. Payments are made at all locations, including for different examinations and breakfast/meals, with its assistance. It keeps a complete record that is auditable. Recently, a patient's final discharge bill was altered by an external service provider, resulting in an overcharge. The patient was troubled by this.
Directive by AIIMS Director
In order to halt this, AIIMS Director Dr. M Srinivas has ordered that the AIIMS Smart Card be made available for all payment methods within AIIMS New Delhi by March 31. Aside from this, no counter will accept cash payments. At "AIIMS Smart Card" top-up counters, which will be available at various OPD, hospital, and centre locations.
Round the Clock Operation
It will operate all day, twenty-four hours a day. The 'AIIMS Smart Card' is the only payment method accepted for all investigations and procedures, with the exception of electronic payments made with debit cards, credit cards, and UPI. Patients and their attendants won't be required to visit the central registration counters in order to make any payments; instead, all payments will be taken at designated payment end points closest to the patient's location.
Transition to eOffice
AIIMS New Delhi will only use eOffice for official correspondence. The AIIMS Director has issued an order stating that, in order to preserve total transparency in administrative processes, AIIMS New Delhi would only use e-office as of April 1. For internal communication, written correspondence or physical files will not be taken into consideration. Additionally, as of right now, AIIMS will not be purchasing any tangible files, notepads, etc.
