Delhi-Dehradun Expressway to Feature 14 Km Wildlife Corridor, Check How It Will Transform Travel

Delhi-Dehradun Expressway: One of the most appealing states, Uttarakhand, continued to attract tourists as the Delhi-Dehradun expressway construction is going on and will help the state to revolutionise travel to the hills. The expressway will cut down the travel time from 6.5 hours to 2.5 hours and will shorten the journey from the Capital of India.

The Delhi-Dehradun expressway got attention for its eco-conscious design, not only for the construction, as a 14 km underpass will be built for wildlife, which will be one of the longest in Asia. The underpass will help the wild animals to go through the dense forest safely, and the camera trap footage will keep an eye on animal movement.

How Delhi-Dehradun Expressway Transforms Travel?

The Delhi-Dehradun expressway will be known as National Highway 709B, and Akshardham will be the start point of the expressway, which will run through Baghpat, Shamli and Saharanpur in Uttar Pradesh before entering Uttarakhand. The travel time will reduce from 6.5 hours to 2.5 hours.

The travel to Mussoorie will also get easier as a 26 km elevated road is directly linked with the expressway to the hill station, which will cut down the traffic and ensure a smooth travel to the hill station. People of Delhi NCR's one of the favourite hill stations is Mussoorie, and after the expressway, Delhi NCR people will be happier compared to others.

About the Delhi-Dehradun Expressway

The expressway will comprise 210 km, and the officials of the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) reported that the project will be completed in the next two or three months and will help many tourists to travel more easily with their families.

The tourism will enhance after the completion of this expressway as travel will become easier for the people of Delhi, Haryana and Uttar Pradesh to travel to Uttarakhand in less time. The officials stated that the construction of elevated roads to Uttar Pradesh has just finished, and the testing is also finished, and now the final report will be issued in two weeks.
