Commuters across Delhi-NCR have received a major connectivity boost as the 9-km DND Flyway-Jaitpur stretch of the Delhi-Mumbai Expressway has opened for trial operations. The new link is expected to make travel between Delhi and Faridabad smoother while providing easier access to the wider expressway corridor.

The National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) has started trial operations on the newly constructed section to assess road safety, traffic management and operational arrangements before its formal opening. During the trial phase, motorists have been asked to maintain a speed of 40 kmph.
Faster Faridabad Connectivity
The new stretch will particularly benefit commuters from east and south Delhi, Noida and Ghaziabad, who can now get easier access towards Faridabad and further connect to the Delhi-Mumbai Expressway. The route is also expected to provide a smoother journey towards Jaipur and Sawai Madhopur.
Nearly 8.5 km of the 9-km stretch is elevated, while the corridor also includes a structure over the Agra Canal. Entry and exit points have been developed at Jaitpur and Meethapur, although these points are currently closed during the trial period.
The opening is expected to reduce pressure on busy routes around Ashram, Kalindi Kunj and Mathura Road, offering an alternative route for Faridabad-bound traffic.
The development is significant for Delhi, Haryana and Rajasthan, as improved connectivity through the Delhi-Mumbai Expressway is expected to strengthen regional road links and facilitate faster movement between major cities and economic centres.
