A bomb threat email sent to St. Stephen’s College early this morning triggered a security alert, with the Delhi Police and Bomb Disposal Squad rushing to the scene. According to officials, the threat email was received at 7:42 AM, prompting an immediate evacuation and search operation.

Bomb Disposal Team Conducts Thorough Search

Upon receiving the threat, the college administration informed the police, who swiftly deployed a Bomb Disposal Team, dog squads, and forensic experts to inspect the premises. Students and staff were evacuated as a precautionary measure, while the campus was cordoned off for security checks.

A senior police officer confirmed, "We received information about a bomb threat at St. Stephen’s College via email. Our teams, including the Bomb Disposal Squad, are conducting a thorough investigation."

Panic Among Students and Staff

The sudden threat caused panic among students, faculty, and staff members. Many were seen gathering outside the campus, anxiously waiting for updates. Parents of some students also reached the college, worried about their children's safety.

Eyewitnesses reported that authorities acted swiftly to clear the area and prevent chaos. However, with past incidents of hoax bomb threats in Delhi schools and colleges, officials are also considering the possibility of a false alarm.

Investigation Underway

As of now, the police have not found any explosives or suspicious objects. Forensic experts are analyzing the email source to trace its origin. Authorities are also checking CCTV footage to rule out any suspicious activity within the college premises.

Further updates are awaited as Delhi Police continues its investigation into the bomb threat.
