Delhi News: Under PM Modi’s direction, the Union Cabinet convened today. During this meeting, many important choices were made. Union Minister Anurag Thakur provided information of the Cabinet’s decisions following the meeting.

Approval of New Metro Corridors

“Today two new metro corridors have been approved, on which Rs 8400 crore will be spent,” Minister Anurag Thakur stated. Lajpat Nagar to Saket G Block will be served by a metro line that is approximately 8.4 km long. There will be eight stations on it.

Introduction of the Indralok to Indraprastha Metro Line

Second, a 12.4-kilometer metro line will run from Indralok to Indraprastha. The completion date is March 2029.” At a total project cost of Rs 8,399 crore, the Cabinet approved two corridors of the Delhi Metro Phase-IV projects: Lajpat Nagar to Saket G-Block and Indralok to Indraprastha.
