Delhi News More on the incident
Delhi News: Three of Anita’s children, ages 3, 4, and 5, and herself, who was 27 years old and two months pregnant, were killed. All four were found in their room on the first floor, lying in a pool of blood.
According to early investigations, their necks were cut with a sharp object and their windpipes were cut off in what officials called a very cruel and planned act. The types of injuries suggest a planned attack rather than a mistake or a rash action.
When the police got the call, they rushed to the scene and blocked off the area. Experts in forensics took evidence from the scene and sent the bodies for postmortem examinations to figure out the exact order of events.
The suspect and the investigation
The husband and father, who has been named as Munchun Kewat, is the main suspect in the case. He hasn’t been seen since the incident became public, which led Delhi Police to look for him very thoroughly.
The police have opened a murder case and are looking into it from a number of different angles. Since Anita was pregnant at the time, officials are looking into whether the claimed preference for a son may have had something to do with it. There are also other possible reasons being looked into, such as family disagreements or personal conflicts.
Police have said that there is no proven link to unrelated cases from the past. They are still focusing on gathering forensic and other evidence to find the suspect who has gone missing.
The shocking crime has once again shown how bad domestic violence and gender discrimination really are, leaving the community in shock and grief.
