Delhi News: Search Underway for ACP’s Son’s Body After Murder in Haryana; 1 Held

Delhi News: The police have detained a suspect who stated that the young man was forced into a canal near Panipat, Haryana, and as a result, the son of an Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP) in Delhi is presumed dead. Lakshay Chauhan, 26, the son of ACP Yashpal Chauhan, has not been seen since the evening of January 22, according to the police.

Legal Profession and Celebrations

Professionally employed as a lawyer, Lakshay had travelled in an SUV with two other people, Abhishek and Vikas Bharadwaj, to a wedding in Bhiwani, Haryana, on January 22. On January 23, the ACP filed a missing person report at the Samaypur Badli police station after Lakshay failed to return home. An investigation was launched. Abhishek, 19, was taken into custody by the police on Friday from Jawahar Camp in Delhi’s Narela neighbourhood.

Vikas’s Call and Sinister Plot Unveiled

He claimed during questioning that on January 22, Vikas had called and requested him to accompany him to a Sonepat marriage celebration. He was informed by Vikas that Lakshay, a lawyer at Tis Hazari Court, had borrowed money from him and had mistreated him when he tried to collect it. After that, they intended to kill Lakshay. On Monday afternoon, Vikas and Abhishek met at Mukarba Chowk and took Lakshay’s car to Sonepat.

Abhishek Reveals Details of Lakshay’s Fate

In the early hours of January 23, Abhishek reported to the police that they had pushed Lakshay into a canal close to Panipat and driven off. He added that Vikas left him near Delhi‘s Narela and drove off with the automobile. The FIR now includes Sections 302 and 201 of the IPC. In this case, Abhishek has been taken into custody, while Vikas is being sought after. Additionally, a search for Lakshay’s body has been initiated by the police.
