Cyclone Biparjoy: 'Very severe' cyclonic storm As Biparjoy approaches Rajasthan on Friday, forecasters predict that it will become a storm of the "severe" category. In Gujarat's Bhavnagar district, it has so far resulted in at least 22 injuries and the deaths of a father and son cattle-rearing team. The Barmer area of Rajasthan has begun to experience severe rainfall as a result of cyclone Biparjoy, and the weather service has issued a red alert. Rain will continue until three in the morning tomorrow, according to the meteorological department. According to state officials, 940 villages in Gujarat no longer have access to energy after strong winds damaged the electric poles. All of the department's secretaries, including Chief Secretary K Kailashanthan, Chief Secretary Rajkumar, Relief Commissioner Alok Pandey, Director of the Meteorological Department Dr. Manorama Mohanty, were present at this meeting. Rushikesh Patel, the minister of health for Gujarat, stated on Friday that there have been no reports of fatalities in the Kachchh district to date. Mundra, Jakhua, Koteshwar, Lakphat, and Naliya are currently experiencing strong gusts and heavy rain. The cyclone Biparjoy is predicted to bring rain to regions of south Rajasthan as well. In many coastal districts, road clearing work is in progress, he said.

Mandvi Battles Uprooted Trees Amid Relentless Rainfall
In Mandvi, a coastal town in Gujarat's Kachchh district, uprooted trees are being cleared using an earthmoving machine as rain continues to pelt the area. In an official statement issued on Friday, the NDRF confirmed that, prior to making landfall in Gujarat, Cyclone Biparjoy had already caused 23 injuries, 24 animal deaths, and 2 human deaths.
