In a groundbreaking move to enhance urban commuting, the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) has launched a fully integrated travel solution via its upgraded ‘DMRC Momentum दिल्ली सारथी 2.0’ app. The initiative allows Delhi Metro commuters to book metro tickets, bike taxis, and auto-rickshaws for first and last-mile connectivity—all in a single, seamless transaction.

This innovation, developed in collaboration with Autope Payment Solutions Ltd., aims to tackle one of the biggest concerns for public transport users: how to conveniently reach their final destination from the nearest metro station. With just one app, passengers can now complete their entire journey—from their doorstep to their final stop—without the need for juggling multiple bookings or apps.

How the App Works:

The user enters their destination in the app.

The app suggests the nearest metro station and the most efficient transport options—bike taxi or auto-rickshaw—for the first-mile journey.

Before reaching the destination station, the app pre-books a ride for last-mile travel as well.

If the station is nearby, the app provides walking directions (navigation feature coming soon).

The DMRC has partnered with Rapido for both bike taxis and autos, while also teaming up with SheRyds, a women-led startup providing exclusive bike taxi services for female commuters, adding a significant safety and inclusivity layer to the service.
