According to media reports, the Yamuna River cruise will soon be operational in Delhi. The Delhi Tourism and Transportation Development Corporation (DTTDC) has issued a tender to select an operator for the project. The proposal includes modern cruise boats powered by solar or electric batteries, ensuring an eco-friendly experience. CM Rekha Gupta has directed her ministers to actively monitor the project's progress and ensure a seamless launch for the people of Delhi.
Key Features of the Yamuna River Cruise
For the first time, Delhi residents will have access to a cruise facility on the Yamuna River. The service is expected to operate between Sonia Vihar and Jagatpur, covering a distance of 7-8 km. Safety will be a priority, with facilities such as life jackets and announcement system. The cruise will likely accommodate 20 to 30 passengers, providing a comfortable and scenic ride.
