Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami suggested government officers to visit villages regularly and participate in night chaupals to get a better understanding of people’s grievances. He also asked offices to be prepared for G20 meet and on preserving ‘our cultural heritage’.

CM Dhami on Sunday said that officers should more often visit villages for a quick redressal of local people’s problems. “Tehsil days should be organised by making a roster. Special efforts should be made to simplify the procedures so that common people get the benefits of various public welfare schemed run by the government,” Dhami said while addressing Tehri Garhwal officials.
Taking about the preparations of G20 meet, he directed to officials to be fully prepared on ‘how we can present our cultural associated events. This is a golden opportunity to promote Uttarakhand on a global stage.”
Drug free Uttarakhand by 2025
The chief minister said that the aim is to make Uttarakhand drug free by 2025. Reiterating his vision, he said, “Public awareness campaigns should be conducted on a wide scale at the district level. Continuous awareness programmes should take place to save youth from drug menace.”
