Municipal Corporation Hands Over Lal Kuan to Apsara Border Route to NHAI
The Municipal Corporation has now properly transferred ownership of the entire route from Lal Kuan to the Apsara boundary to NHAI. This will shortly have a notification released. As soon as the notification is complete, NHAI will perform the maintenance work on the about 10-kilometer-long route. Only up to Lal Kuan did NHAI own the route that was a part of NH 91. Beyond this, the Municipal Corporation took ownership of the GT Road segment. The local government has been maintaining this route from Lal Kuan to the Apsara border for almost 20 years.
GT Road’s Transition to NHAI Finally in Motion
There has long been discussion over giving GT Road to NHAI. The UP government had received a proposal for this from NHAI a long time ago. Following that, the municipal government obtained a NOC to give this route to NHAI. Additionally, GT Road will soon be governed by NHAI. It is now anticipated that PWD would redesign this route as a result.
