Greater Noida News

Greater Noida News: The metro line that runs from Noida to Knowledge Park-5 in Greater Noida West will currently have 11 stations constructed. Nine stations were initially planned for construction. The detailed project report (DPR) for this new route has been completed by DMRC and submitted to NMRC. Officials from NMRC have begun investigating it. DPR is scheduled to be authorised at the next board meeting.

Aqua Line Extends to Sector-51 Segregator Noida Depot

The Aqua Line Metro is currently run by NMRC all the way to Sector-51 Segregator Noida Depot. There have been plans to move this line to Greno West for the past five and a half years. This metro line would begin in Sector-51 and travel directly through Sector-72, in front of the Baba Balaknath Temple, to Greater Noida via a 130-meter road, as per the DPR that was previously developed for this route. When travelling from Delhi to Sector-52 on the Blue Line, there was no direct connection available from the Sector-51 metro station.

These stations have been proposed

  • Sector-61 Station
  • another station
  • Sector-122
  • Sector-123
  • Sector-4 Greater Noida West
  • Sector-12 Ecotech
  • Sector-2 Greater Noida West
  • Sector-3 Greater Noida West
  • Sector-10 Greater Noida West
  • Sector-12 Greater Noida West
  • Knowledge Park-5, Greater Noida etc. stations have been proposed.

Development of DPR as Per NMRC and Noida Authority Directives

In such a case, DMRC has developed the DPR for the proposed route per the directives of NMRC and Noida Authority. Under this, the metro will travel straight to Sector-61 instead of stopping at Sector-51 station to go to the Baba Balaknath Temple in Sector-72. From this point, a platform will connect it to the Sector-61 station of the Blue Line.

Phase 3 Kotwali, Sector-71 in front of Kailash Hospital, and Sector-121 Clio County would be traversed by this metro line. It will then re-join the original path close to the Parthala Signature Bridge.

Aqua Line’s 2.5 Km Longer Route Unveils a New Itinerary

The route travelled this time is 2.5 kilometres longer than it was the last. The itinerary, which was originally designed to be 14 points 958 kilometres long, is now 17 points 435 km long. The building of two more stations has resulted in a roughly Rs 794 crore increase in cost. The price has now been set at Rs 2991 crore.
According to NMRC authorities, plans are currently in place to run the metro on this route in two stages. It connects Greater Noida West’s Sectors 51 and 2 in the first phase. The second phase would then begin, with the metro operating concurrently along the whole length.
