Heat Relief to Commuter Nightmare, Delhi NCR Rain Leaves Noida and Ghaziabad Battling Waterlogging, Check IMD Alert

With several days of hot and humid weather, rain has provided some respite to the people in the Delhi-NCR region. With the rain came nice weather with a fall in the temperature in many places.

Waterlogging Issues in Noida and Ghaziabad

Due to the rains, waterlogging occurred in many places in Noida and Ghaziabad, thus creating traffic problems, with a lot of people being stuck in traffic.

Traffic Chaos Across Noida and Ghaziabad

The downpour led to traffic jams in many parts of Noida and Ghaziabad, as people found themselves stuck in traffic for several hours. Travelers and daily commuters who had to report to their respective offices and schools found themselves unable to move due to the heavy traffic caused by the rains.

Civic Authorities Swing Into Action

Municipal bodies deployed the traffic policemen, who tried to clear the water in some of the important locations using water pumps. They are trying to ensure that traffic starts moving smoothly. The issue of poor drainage persists.

IMD Issues Fresh Advisory

The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued another advisory in which it has predicted heavy rainfall along with thunderstorms, lightning, and strong winds in the coming 24 hours. Residents need to stay vigilant and refrain from any unnecessary outdoor trips.

What Residents Should Do?

People are advised to avoid waterlogged roads, drive carefully during rainfall, and keep an eye on traffic and weather advisories before leaving home. Those living in low-lying areas should remain cautious as more showers are expected.
