Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren expressed grief after a road accident in Jamshedpur claimed the lives of four people, including the daughter of state Rural Development and Panchayati Raj Minister Deepika Pandey Singh.
The accident took place in the early hours of Thursday on Marine Drive in the Sonari area of Jamshedpur. According to police, the car carrying the victims collided with a stationary truck. Four occupants died in the accident.
Hemant Soren Offers Condolences
Reacting to the incident, Soren said he was deeply distressed by the death of his ministerial colleague’s daughter and the other victims.
In a post on X, the Chief Minister expressed his condolences to Deepika Pandey Singh and the families of all those who died in the accident. He said the loss of a child was an unbearable grief for any parent and family.
Soren also prayed for peace for the departed souls and strength for the bereaved families, invoking Marang Buru in his message.
Four People Killed in Jamshedpur Crash
Police said the accident occurred around 3 am near Domuhani on Marine Drive. The car reportedly rammed into a truck that was parked along the roadside following a breakdown. The collision severely damaged the vehicle and trapped the occupants inside.
The deceased included Deepika Pandey Singh’s daughter and three other people. Police have begun an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the crash.
The incident has prompted condolences from political leaders, including Soren, as the families mourn the deaths.
