Under the leadership of Chief Minister Hemant Soren, Jharkhand is set to celebrate its rich cultural heritage, local flavours and traditional crafts through the Johar Monsoon Rainfest 2026, a three-day event scheduled from September 8 to 10 at Morabadi Ground in Ranchi.

Jharkhand Tourism announced the festival through a social media post, inviting visitors to experience the state through its diverse cultural traditions, regional cuisine, live music and handmade crafts.

The three-day celebration is designed to offer visitors an opportunity to explore different aspects of Jharkhand’s identity in one setting. From local food and traditional handicrafts to live musical performances, the festival will bring together several elements of the state’s cultural landscape.
The event is expected to provide a platform for local artisans and creators to showcase handmade products and traditional craftsmanship. Such events can also help visitors discover locally produced goods while supporting the state’s cultural and creative economy.
Food is another major component of the Rainfest, with visitors expected to get an opportunity to experience local flavours associated with Jharkhand’s culinary traditions.
