Under the scheme, eligible farmers can receive financial assistance based on the extent of crop damage. According to the current scheme information, assistance is provided at ₹3,000 per acre for crop loss of 30–50 per cent, while losses above 50 per cent can qualify for ₹4,000 per acre, subject to a maximum area of five acres. Crop loss assessment is carried out through Crop Cutting Experiments.
Who Can Benefit From the Scheme?
The official JRFRY portal states that the scheme covers both land-owning farmers and landless farmers. Farmers do not have to pay a crop insurance premium, with financial assistance provided directly by the government in the event of eligible crop loss caused by natural calamities.
Both raiyat and bataidaar farmers can apply under the scheme. The scheme covers selected Kharif and Rabi crops, including paddy, maize, wheat, mustard, gram and potato.
How to Apply for Jharkhand Rajya Fasal Rahat Yojana
Farmers can register and apply through the official Jharkhand Rajya Fasal Rahat Yojana portal. Applications can also be submitted through the nearest Common Service Centre (CSC). The registration process requires details including the farmer’s Aadhaar-linked information, mobile number and bank account details.
