Himachal Pradesh Floods: Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu, the chief minister of Himachal Pradesh, asked the Centre for Rs 2,000 crore in temporary assistance and declared that the relief manual would be amended to better compensate flood victims in the state. Government Provides Medical Assistance to Evacuees Amid Rising Yamuna Waters

The government gave medical care to the evacuees who were rescued from the low-lying districts as the level of the Yamuna suddenly rose. Images of the situation displayed the relief camps in Mayur Vihar Phase 1 where the refugees are housed. As of 10 am, the Yamuna’s water level has further fallen to 207.48 metres. It is still above the 205.33-meter danger zone, though.

Delhi Metro Lifts Speed Restriction as Yamuna River Recedes

As the Yamuna River’s water level gradually recedes, the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) on Saturday announced the removal of the speed restriction on metro trains passing the bridges over the river. Earlier, the Yamuna level rose above the danger zone, reducing the speed of metro trains to 30 km/h.
