Karnataka Election 2023: Congress poised to take power in Karnataka as BJP concedes defeat

Karnataka Election 2023: K Sudhakar, a health minister and leader of the Bharatiya Janata Party, is defeated by Pradeep Eshwar of the Congress in the Chikkaballapura seat by 10,642 votes. The patterns have become clear, and the Congress appears to be in position to take power in Karnataka. The JDS(S)’s hopes of acting as the kingmaker and the BJP’s hopes of retaking power in the southern state have both been crushed. According to figures from the Election Commission (EC), the Congress had won or was ahead in 137 seats after five hours of voting-related counting on Saturday. In 63 seats, the BJP was in the lead, and in 22, the JD(S).

Bommai vows to reorganize BJP in Karnataka after conceding defeat in state elections

“We (the BJP) are unable to meet the standard. will conduct a thorough investigation to determine the gaps and shortcomings at all levels. Congress set to form government in Karnataka without any assistance from other parties

The BJP won 104 seats in the 2018 Assembly elections, while the Congress won 80 seats. 37 seats were won by the JD(S).
