Lucknow News: No Garbage Vendors irks Residents, LMC assures action will be taken soon

Lucknow News: After the Lucknow Municipal Corporation cancelled the contract of Trash Pick Up Vans of the city, the areas are likely to face the issue of disposing garbage as there will be less Trash Pick Vans in the city. Since there is a shortage of garbage Vans, Piles of garbage is seen lying in the Sapru Nagar area of Lucknow, also in IndiraNagar, Mahanagar, Sadatganj, kaiserbagh and Naka.The six vendors who were earlier hired by the Municipal Corporations have not performed their duties well, so they were removed by the Municipal Corporation. Many residents have also complaint of the unhygienic surroundings due to the garbage but nothing has been done so far. Lets check this Ground Report of DNP News Network.

Residents complain of Foul Smell

Many Welfare Associations were also complaining of foul smell and the serious diseases which these pile of trash will bring as there is already lots of Dengue cases being reported in the hospitals everyday. Even if we keep our houses clean, there will be mosquitoes outside and this will give birth to many diseases. There are small children in all the areas and they don’t stop from playing in the garden.

The issue will be solved soon’

Meanwhile a senior official of the Lucknow Municipal Corporation said that we are trying to get new vendors to pick up trash. All the areas will be trash free and residents will be able to throw the garbage in the Trash Vans.
