Lucknow Police Reuse IPL Maps for World Cup Traffic Management

Lucknow Commissionerate’s Joint CP Law and Order Upendra Kumar Aggarwal, while conducting a press conference in his office today, said that during the IPL match recently, the police had created two maps. This time around, we’ll also use that map. I want people to view the map while going to see the game,’ he said. There are only a few parking spaces at the stadium’s five gates. Without a car pass, vehicles will not be permitted within the Ekana International Cricket Stadium.

Color-Coded Passes and Parking System for a Smooth World Cup Experience

He added, “There are three gates for vehicle entry; vehicles will enter through these three,” in order to provide further details. The first, third, and fourth gates are numbered. The crowd will move simultaneously towards the west stand from gate number 2 and towards the east stand from gate number 5. He claimed that people will receive juices, have color-coated passes, and be allowed to drive their vehicles in accordance with the colour. Additionally, police have produced color-coded badges for duty. There will be distinct coloured passes for those inside the gate and different coloured passes for the police officers on duty outside the entrance, preventing them from entering the stadium.

Pre-Stadium Parking Arrangements and One-Way Roads for the World Cup

Upendra Aggarwal informed the audience that parking arrangements had been planned prior to the stadium’s construction. Additionally, he mentioned that there is only one way to get to the stadium. Single-direction roads have also been created in numerous locations. Traffic on Shaheed Path will be limited, and G20 Tiraha Road will only be used in one direction from Police Headquarters. No cars or trucks are permitted to stop on Shaheed Path.
