A New Dairy War But This Time In Madhya Pradesh

After the states of South India, Karnataka and Tamil Nadu, a fierce battle has started in the dairy industry in Madhya Pradesh. The Congress has accused the BJP-led CM Shivraj Chouhan’s government of promoting Gujarat’s company Amul and giving less preference to Sanchi. It is alleged that the government is giving more facilities to Amul than Sanchi.

Shivraj Chouhan’s government has rejected this charge of the opposition parties, but in view of the elections in Madhya Pradesh, the infighting in the dairy industry is definitely becoming an election issue.

It is alleged that the BJP government is trying to end the Sanchi brand and is giving more facilities to Amul. At the same time, the farmers who used to sell milk to Sanchi earlier have started saving milk to Amul. Due to this, the clouds of crisis are seen hovering over Sanchi.

The farmers of Mughalia Haat village claim that they have stopped selling their milk to Sanchi, as Amul is offering higher price of milk as compared to Sanchi. Sanchi gives the price of 30 to 32 rupees per liter of milk, while the price of Amul is 40 to 45 rupees per liter.

Prahlad Sen, a farmer selling milk to Sanchi for more than two decades, who earlier used to supply milk to Sanchi, has started supplying milk to Amul. Prahlad Sen is not the only farmer who used to give milk to Sanchi earlier and is now giving milk to Amul.

Opposition attacked the government regarding dairy

Due to the supply of milk by the farmers from Sanchi to Amul, the Sanchi Dugdh Sangh collection center in Mughalia Haat village used to be very crowded, but now it is almost empty. Farmers allege that they are getting less money from Sanchi.

Former Cooperation Minister and Leader of the Opposition, DrGovind Singh says that as part of a conspiracy, the Madhya Pradesh government is promoting Amul in comparison to Sanchi, so that Sanchi is destroyed and Sanchi’s existence ends. This is not good for the institution of the state.

On the other hand, senior BJP leader and Cooperative Minister Arvind Singh Bhadauria, while rejecting Dr. Govind Singh’s allegation, said that there is no such thing. Sanchi is a profitable organization and profits are increasing day by day in Sanchi. Singh’s allegation is completely baseless.

Even though Arvind Singh Bhadauria is rejecting Dr. Govind Singh’s allegation, but the way farmers are giving milk to Amul instead of Sanchi and there are elections in Madhya Pradesh soon. This issue seems to be heating up.
