Congress leader Digvijay Singh speeding SUV collides with bike in MP, rider suffers minor injuries

On Thursday, a bike rider collided with the car of Congress leader and Rajya Sabha MP Digvijay Singh. A 20-year-old youth riding a bike has suffered minor injuries, he has been admitted to the hospital.

The accident took place at Zirapur in Rajgarh district of Agar-Malwa region of Madhya Pradesh. The bike rider collided with the Congress leader’s car while trying to take a U-turn. After this the motorcycle hit the pole.

Digvijay Singh, who was on the back seat of his car, immediately got out of the vehicle and ran towards the bike rider. Meanwhile, some passers-by also gathered on the spot. The injured person has been identified as Rambabu, a resident of Parauli in Uttar Pradesh, who works as a laborer.

After the accident, he was taken to Chirayu Hospital in Bhopal, in which he suffered minor injuries.

Later, speaking to reporters, Singh said the victim had minor injuries and was undergoing treatment at a hospital. He also visited the hospital to know about the health condition of Rambabu. His condition is said to be stable.

Singh had gone to condole the death of Congress District President Prakash Purohit’s mother. While returning from Purohit’s village Kodakya to Rajgarh, Singh’s car collided with a motorcycle at Zirapur. Guna resident Akhtar Khan, the driver of the Fortuner car, has been arrested by the Zirapur police.
