Madhya Pradesh CM takes action against school authorities over headscarf row

Shivraj Singh Chouhan

The uproar that started when successful Hindu girl students of Ganga-Jamuna High School in Damoh district of Madhya Pradesh were shown wearing hijab-like scarves has now reached the issue of religious conversion. The government is serious on this matter and is preparing to take strict steps. Such signs are being received.

Hindu girls shown in hijab

Recently a poster of the school came in controversies, in which Hindu girls were shown wearing scarves similar to the hijab. After that the School Education Department first gave a clean chit but later its recognition was suspended. Not only this, there were allegations of religious conversion of many teachers of this school. These teachers came face to face and accepted the matter of conversion even before coming to teach in the school. Not only this, many children have also alleged that they are forced to recite Namaz, as well as pressure is made to recite Islamic verses.

Hinduist organization strict

Regarding this matter, first Hinduist organizations made serious allegations against the school management, then the district administration was accused of cooperating with the school. After that ink smeared on the face of District Education Officer, he has been removed, while School Education Minister Inder Singh Parmar also made serious allegations against the collector.

Now the Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan has said on this matter, conversion conspiracies are going on in some places in the state, we will not let them succeed. We have also given instructions to investigate in the entire state, especially the educational institutions, whether run by madrassas, if education is being imparted in a wrong way, then we will check that too.

He further said, Damoh’s matter is very serious, we are now getting the report in Damoh’s incident, I have been told. The daughters have given statements that they have been forced. As Home Minister Narottam Mishra said, first we are registering an FIR. The harshest action will be taken. Innocent children who do not understand, if this kind of effort is made by calling them in the name of education, then we will not tolerate it at any cost, those who have such intentions will get the harshest punishment.

State Home Minister Dr. Mishra says that people having this kind of mentality will be completely destroyed in Madhya Pradesh. An inquiry has been ordered regarding the matter of tampering with the map of India in the school.
