Reservation in government services
The state government has also implemented 35% reservation for women in government jobs, aimed at increasing their representation and participation in public administration.
Focus on financial independence
Officials state that the combined impact of SHGs, income-generation schemes, and reservation policies is helping women become financially self-reliant and socially empowered.
Strengthening rural economy
With a large number of women engaged in productive activities, the initiative is contributing to rural economic growth, entrepreneurship, and sustainable livelihoods.
Holistic empowerment approach
The government’s approach includes skill development, access to credit, market linkages, and institutional support, ensuring long-term empowerment rather than short-term benefits.
