MP News: Hostage Torture Case Unfolds: Woman Endures Month-long Ordeal in Madhya Pradesh

A 23-year-old woman endured a month-long ordeal of captivity and torture at the hands of her neighbor in Madhya Pradesh's Guna district. The accused, identified as Ayan Pathan, was arrested after the victim was hospitalized with severe injuries and lodged a complaint with the police.

According to the victim's account, Pathan subjected her to escalating violence, including physical assaults using a plastic pipe and belt, as well as other forms of abuse. The situation reached a horrifying peak when Pathan allegedly forced chilli powder into her mouth and glued her lips shut with adhesive.

Despite warnings from her mother to stay away from Pathan, the victim returned to Guna and continued living with him. The abuse intensified during the holy month of Ramzan, with Pathan allegedly enlisting the help of his relatives to physically assault the victim.

Pathan, a laborer by profession, now faces charges under various sections of the law, including rape, for his heinous actions. The police have indicated the possibility of additional charges pending further investigation into the matter.
