MP News: The cabinet of Madhya Pradesh, led by Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav, made significant decisions on March 14th. Chief Minister Yadav shared the state’s financial status with the cabinet, reassuring that there is no shortage of funds in the government. He directed every minister to conduct a review meeting of their respective departments. Furthermore, the Chief Minister instructed ministers to ensure the completion of pending tasks within the specified timelines.
Key Decisions Taken by Madhya Pradesh Cabinet Meeting
The state government is initiating the PM Shri Tourism Air Service and PM Shri Religious Tourism Heli Service in Madhya Pradesh. Initially, the government will arrange tours for tourists to Mahakal and Omkareshwar. The central location for this initiative will be Indore. Additionally, the government will provide better facilities in SC-ST hostels and has formed a three-member committee of ministers to provide suggestions for this purpose. A budget of 20 crores has been approved for this initiative. Moreover, the government has decided to establish the Chitrakoot Development Authority, creating new positions. A budget of 157 crores has been sanctioned for this project.
In a previous cabinet meeting on March 11th, the government had increased the support price of wheat for farmers. They will now receive a bonus of 125 rupees, increasing the MSP from 2275 to 2400 rupees. Additionally, the cabinet approved the appointment of Satendra Kumar Singh as the Lokayukta. The office of the Religious Department is being relocated from the Satpura Bhawan to Ujjain. To ensure farmers do not face fertilizer shortages, the state cooperative marketing federation has been designated as the nodal agency.
Budget Allocation for Medical Colleges
Approval has been granted for the establishment of medical colleges in Neemuch, Mandsaur, Singrauli, and Shivpuri, with a budget of 12 crores. The government has also sanctioned the opening of 13 nursing colleges near medical colleges. Free mortuary vans will be stationed at every district hospital. PM Air Ambulances will remain free for Ayushman cardholders. An administrative approval of 305 crores has been provided for Kolar Road. As part of the Tribal Justice Campaign, the government will provide electricity to the Bagha, Sariya, and Bharia communities.
