Viral Video: According to the Madhya Pradesh Police, a woman in the Rewa district was allegedly assaulted by her lover after she asked him to marry her. A video of the alleged incident, which happened on Wednesday, appeared on social media, prompting the police to file a case against the 24-year-old guy, an official said.
A video of a man striking his fiancée ferociously after she proposed to him has been going viral on social media. The woman is seen in the video requesting the accused’s hand in marriage. The male first becomes irate before repeatedly kicking and slapping her in the face.

Sub Divisional Officer of Police (SDOP) Naveen Dubey said the individual in the video is a resident of Dhera village in the Mauganj region based on preliminary information. He said that after a disagreement between the victim and the accused—who were both engaged in a relationship—he beat the victim.
Although the victim had arrived at the police station to report the crime, she declined to file a complaint. According to the official, the suspect was held under section 151 of the IPC (disturbing public peace) and afterwards released.
However, when the attack’s video surfaced, a case was filed against the accused, who remains at large, under section 323 (voluntarily causing hurt) and other pertinent provisions of the Indian Penal Code. According to the official, the victim has filed a complaint under the Information Technology (IT) Act against the person who recorded and shared the video.
