Maharashtra: Many Injured after Footbridge collapses at Ballarshah Railway Station, Watch Video

Maharashtra: A sad news is coming from Maharashtra, where, a serious accident occurred on November 27, when a portion of the footbridge at the Balharshah railway station in Chandrapur, Maharashtra, fell. About 10 to 15 persons have reportedly been harmed in this incident. Many people fell onto the track during the incident from the bridge at a height of around 60 feet. Many of the injured are reportedly in serious condition. The hospital has received and treated the injured passengers.

Maharashtra: Footbridge collapsed at 5:10 PM

Social media is exploding with videos of this disaster. This incident happened around 5 p.m. on Sunday. According to media sources, numerous passengers were reportedly crossing the track at the time of the incident. Platforms one and two are connected by this footbridge. According to CPRO Shivaji Sutar of Central Railway, “the foot overbridge at Balharshah in the Nagpur division collapsed in part at around 5:10 p.m. today. Four persons were hurt in the accident, and after receiving first aid, all were sent to a civil hospital and no casualties reported.”

According to the CPRO, the Railways has declared Compensation amount of Rs. 1 lakh for badly injured people and Rs. 50,000 for moderately injured people. Injured people are provided the best medical care by being sent to other hospitals for a quick recovery.
