On January 11, 2023, a letter in this regard was sent to the Special Secretary of Uttar Pradesh. Due to the proximity of the Gogol pilgrimage to the above-mentioned area, which is needed for the operation and expansion of the airport, the amended land acquisition plan for the land was sent to the government of Uttar Pradesh on April 5, 2023. The minister promised that the Ministry of Civil Aviation will begin running the airport as soon as the Uttar Pradesh government satisfied the demand for land.
