A recent case in Mumbai is causing security alarm among people, as the police have unearthed a plot involving poisoning allegedly made by Fayyaz Premji.
How Was The Mumbai Poison Plot Uncovered?
As per the police report, the police had found that some suspicious activity was going on in one of the rooms that was rented in Dongri, Mumbai. After investigating the premises, the police found that there was a huge quantity of toxic material, and thousands of capsules were present in the room.

According to reports, the room contained about 50kg of zinc phosphide, which is an extremely poisonous rat poison, along with about 30,000 empty capsules and many thousands more capsules filled with the poison. It seems likely that these capsules were being manufactured on mass scale and this revelation has alarmed authorities because of the consequences that might have occurred had the capsules been distributed on mass scale.

In the process of interrogation, it was alleged by Fayyaz Premji that the motive behind the conspiracy was to kill maximum number of people in a religious procession. It was revealed that Fayyaz wanted to “kill up to 15,000 people.

Investigators are also examining Premji’s background, including reported frequent travel to countries such as Iran and Iraq. Authorities are trying to determine whether these visits had any link to the alleged conspiracy or if any external influence was involved.

Reports suggest that several individuals who may have consumed the capsules fell ill, showing symptoms of poisoning.
