Nainital High Court cracks down on housing department's discriminatory OTS scheme

OTS scheme: A PIL alleging disparity against hilly areas in the "One Time Settlement- OTS- 2021" scheme of the housing department's hospital, nursing home, and institute providing health services as well as the Clinical Establishment Act was served on the state government by the Nainital High Court on Friday.

Final Date Of Hearing

The HC set the date of the final hearing for June 14 while hearing the PIL filed by Abhinav Thapar in July 2021. The government was given one final chance to file a response within four weeks.

A specific relaxation was demanded in hilly areas

The court noted that even though two years have elapsed, the housing administration has yet to respond. In order to expand health facilities in rural areas of the state, a specific relaxation was demanded in hilly areas.
