Trinamool Congress (TMC) MP Mahua Moitra has claimed that she experienced harassment on an IndiGo flight to Delhi on May 7. She stated that a group of male passengers shouted political slogans and filmed her inside the plane without her consent. The incident happened on IndiGo flight 6E 719 while Moitra was heading to Delhi for an official meeting of the Parliamentary Standing Committee on Defence.

Mahua Moitra said she was in seat 1F when a group of about 4 to 6 men boarded the flight. She claimed that the men stared at her throughout the trip and later started chanting slogans after the plane landed. Videos shared online reportedly showed passengers shouting slogans like “Jai Shri Ram” and “chor chor TMC chor.” The men were also seen recording inside the aircraft before the passengers got off. The TMC leader said the recording happened without her permission and described the incident as intimidation and harassment during her travel.
Moitra Demands Action From IndiGo and Aviation Ministry
Following the incident, Mahua Moitra called on IndiGo and Union Civil Aviation Minister Kinjarapu Rammohan Naidu to take strong action against those involved.
