Noida News: In what could be termed as a biggest liquor scam, this company of the Gautam Budha nagar supplied duplicate holograms of liquor to the Chhattisgarh government. Liquor worth crores of rupees was sold illegally by using holograms. The shocking part is this went on for 3 years without being noticed by anyone in the government. Allegedly all this was done with the help of the Excise Department of the city.
Police arrested 2 officers of the Excise Department
After a long investigation, 5 people including two officers have been arrested in the case. According to the FIR a Noida based company has been seized by the Excise Department. The company did not have valid documents to participate in the Tender process, but the contract was awarded by the authorities. Later the officials took commission for per hologram. During this time, numerous duplicate holograms were supplied to sell illegal country liquor bottles from government shops in Chhattisgarh.
Accused confessed to the fraud
One of the accused also admitted that the Excise Department secretary used to give him a series of serial numbers of holograms on his phone. Duplicate holograms of these serial numbers were printed and sent by road. The accused confessed everything in front of the cops.
