Noida News: In giving a major relief to the elderly of the city, Uttar Pradesh Government is soon going to have a law against children who tortures their Parents in the Old age. According to the New law, these children will be evicted from all the Rights on Property or they will not get any share in their parents property if they don’t look after them properly. Government has already started preparations for amendments in the maintenance and welfare rules 2014 of Parents and Senior Citizens. The Social Welfare Department submitted a presentation to the Chief Minister last week.

Govt discussing Law at Departmental Level also

The Government is also discussing this law at the Departmental level. The UP government has taken this decision on the lines of Central Government in view of the harassment cases everyday.  Central Government also introduced a law for the elderly in the year 2007.The Maintenance and Welfare of Parents and Senior Citizens act 2007 gives several rights to senior citizens and parents. The UP Government also implemented the rule in 2014.

Elderly can evict children from Property in 30 days

According to the rules of the Central Government, there is a provision of giving Rs10000 to the elderly every month. Any one who will not abide the rules, will be punished under the law. According to the new law, elderly parents will be able to evict them from their property within 30 days.
