Noida News: The Noida authority announced on Sunday that it has begun work on connecting a second supply in Sector 118's underground water reservoir to enhance the water supply to group housing societies in Sectors 74, 75, 76, and 77. The action intends to resolve the current problems with residents' access to water, particularly the saline water caused by excessive levels of total dissolved solids (TDS).
Noida Authority's Plan for Enhanced Water Supply
The Noida authority's water department's deputy general manager, RP Singh, stated, To address the issue of excessive TDS levels in our water supply, we have decided to give an additional supply from Sector 118's underground reservoir. Both the amount and quality of water in these places will improve once this supply is connected to these societies. Within the coming week, we want to integrate this additional supply. This additional supply, which is equivalent to 50,000 kiloliters per day, will yet take a week to deliver because the pipeline between Sarfabad and Parthala village needs to be strengthened. The pipeline now has several cracks, but they will be fixed in around three to four days.

Sector 77 Residents Demand Action on Poor Water Quality
Residents of the Express Zenith society in Sector 77 have complained about the water being unfit for drinking due to poor water pressure and erratic availability. We have complained to the developer and the Noida administration about the inconsistent water delivery and poor water quality, Sanjiv Kumar said. We anticipate fast action from the authority to resolve this matter. After the repairs are complete, water from Sector 118's subterranean reservoir will reach Sector 72, where the Ganga water reservoir is situated, according to a Noida authority official. To supply inhabitants with water of higher quality, the Ganga water would be combined with the water from Sector 118. For those who struggle with saline water and poor pipeline pressure, this supply will enhance water quality and pressure. Currently, the administration uses Sector 72 water reservoirs' Ganga water and groundwater to supply at least a dozen group housing complexes.
