Patna News: Battling Cyber Threats! IIT Innovator Designs Resilience Solution for AI & ML Systems

Patna News: An innovative method for enhancing the resilience of artificial intelligence and machine learning (AI & ML) systems against cyber-attacks has been created by Dr. Abhinoy Kumar Singh, a faculty member at IIT Patna.

Unveiling Vulnerabilities of Cyber-Physical Systems in AI & ML

Cyber-physical systems are mostly used in the development of AI and ML approaches. Cyber-physical systems, however, are vulnerable to online attacks. Despite the existence of cyber-security technologies, they are not always effective enough to totally mitigate the negative effects of data modification brought on by cyber-attacks. Therefore, research is still being done to create cutting-edge methods that are resistant to cyber-attacks. The estimate method—a recursive process of estimating known as filtering—is a widely utilised algorithm in AI and ML techniques.

IIT Patna Team Develops Cyber-Resilient Estimating System Amid Online Attacks

Dr. Abhinoy Kumar Singh and his research team created a sophisticated estimating system that can effectively function while being attacked online. It’s interesting to note that this sophisticated method was able to handle data with an unknown time delay, which frequently happens during data propagation using cyber-physical systems. Such a discovery can provide AI and ML techniques the robustness they need to counter cyberattacks. In addition to IIT Patna, researchers from IIT Indore, University of Hradec Kralove, and United Arab Emirates University also took part in this study.
