Poonch terror attack: Punjab CM Mann announces Rs 1 cr ex-gratia for kins of four martyrs 

New Delhi: The families of the four Army personnel killed in the Poonch terror attack will receive one crore in ex-gratia, Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann announced on Friday.

“We will give ex-gratia amount of Rs one crore each to the families of the four Army personnel who lost their lives in the Poonch terror attack,” ANI quoted the Punjab CM as saying.

 Their sacrifice will guide fellow soldiers: CM Mann

“We received the very sad news of five soldiers being martyred in the incident (terrorist attack), out of which four were from Punjab,” he said. These heroes displayed the utmost dedication in defending the country’s unity and their sacrifice will inspire their fellow soldiers to perform their duties with far more devotion and commitment,” news agency PTI quoted Mann as saying

During the country’s freedom struggle, Mann said, Punjabis contributed 90 per cent. “To keep this freedom intact, our brave jawans are guarding the borders,” he said.
