Pune Viral Video: In a shocking viral video capturing an episode of road rage in Maharashtra, an auto-rickshaw driver clashed violently with a car driver near Pune‘s Rakshak Chowk on September 27. The whole clash took place around 5:30 PM outside the gate of Aundh Military Station and has since gone viral.
Damage to the Vehicle and Verbal Assault
In Pune Viral Video we can see an auto-rickshaw was overtaking a car driver and he was on his way to Kharadi from Punawale. The dispute finally surfaced when the auto driver reacted aggressively, first stamping on car and ultimately damaging the side-view mirror. In video footage, the auto driver is seen egging car driver to roll down his window and threatening him for the perceived offense of overtaking.
As things began to boil over, he was banging on car and window and shouting verbal abuses. This is a disturbing trend wherein minor traffic disputes escalate into physical altercations. At the time, car driver was intimidated and harassed by this man and subsequently lodged a report at Sangvi Police Station, but of late, nothing seems to have been done against the aggressive auto driver.
A Shocking Display of Road Rage In Pune Viral Video
This incident shared on X (formerly Twitter) by the user Anurag is raising discourse on road safety and yet another increasingly mundane issue that resonates with urban lifestyles: the rising issue of road rage. Several viewers shocked by such an act denounced the auto driver behavior as much as expressed a need for better education on road safety and conflict resolution.
This time, however, it happens again, and yet a call is still made for urgent measures to address road rage in order to have a road transport environment that will be safer for everyone. Authorities should not take incidents this way and do something about them before they continue to happen with aggressive behavior toward making the road environment safer.
