Punjab: Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann issued an order for a “special girdawari” to determine the loss of crops and orchards as a result of the state’s unseasonably heavy rains.
Specific instructions to the pertinent deputy commissioners
In order to determine the damage done to crops, orchards, and other property, he has ordered the finance commissioner (Revenue) to give specific instructions to the pertinent deputy commissioners and order them to conduct an immediate “girdawari” (survey) in the areas hit by the recent rains. According to an official statement, he instructed the officers to make sure that the report is submitted as soon as possible to ensure that the impacted persons receive adequate compensation in accordance with government standards.

The chief minister gave the populace reassurance that the administration is dedicated to defending their interests from nature’s wrath. He stated that every attempt would be made to make up for the losses sustained by the farmers as a result of the recent spell of rain in the state.
