Punjab Education Minister Harjot Bains is set to tie the knot with IPS officer Dr Jyoti Yadav. The couple got engaged on Sunday. Jyoti is currently posed as Supritendent of Police in Mansa. The couple is yet to lock a date for their wedding, but reports suggest it will likely be in a couple of weeks.
Who is Jyoti Yadav?
Jyoti Yadav is a native of Gurgaon, Haryana. She is also a certified dentist. The 34-year-old is currently posted as an SP in Mansa. She had hit headline last year after she stood up to AAP MLa Rajinderpal Kaur Chhina. She was then postd as an ACP in Ludhiana. The AAP MLA had publicly reprimanded her for conducting a search in her area without her permission, but the 2019 batch officer told the politicians she had received directions from the commissioner.

Harjot Singh Bains joined AAP as a volunteer. He was later elevated in 2016 as party’s state youth wing president. On 19 March 2022 he took oath as the youngest ever cabinet minister in the history of Punjab state. An BA LLB graduate, Bains has also been to London School of Economics and Political Science.
