According to the Chief Minister of Delhi, the Punjab government is working at a war-footing to bring relief to affected people. Key initiatives include large-scale village cleaning drives, setting up medical camps, vaccination of livestock, repairing community buildings, and preparing for procurement in agricultural markets (mandis).

The government has already allocated a significant budget to repair infrastructure such as schools, roads, and government buildings damaged by the floodwaters. Special teams equipped with machinery like JCBs and tractors are actively working in every affected village to remove debris and restore access.
To safeguard public health, medical camps staffed by expert doctors and healthcare professionals are being set up in over 2,300 villages, providing free medicines and check-ups. Simultaneously, teams from top hospitals are being deployed to ensure ongoing medical assistance, while vaccination drives for both humans and animals are underway to prevent any disease outbreak.
The Chief Minister also announced that 550 ambulances have been mobilized for emergency medical services across affected areas, along with a permanent medical presence in 1,707 villages as per local demand.
CM Kejriwal’s praise comes at a time when Punjab’s government machinery is fully engaged in managing the crisis with transparency and efficiency. He emphasized that such coordinated and compassionate governance reflects the spirit of service during a natural calamity.
This acknowledgment by a fellow Chief Minister is seen as a strong morale boost for the Punjab administration, underscoring its determination to rebuild lives, secure livelihoods, and ensure the health and safety of its citizens in the face of adversity.
