Bhagwant Mann: The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) Punjab has said that the problem of prolonged power cuts in the state has been resolved, with all thermal power units now operating at full capacity.
In a post on X, the party said the electricity supply situation had been affected by a shortage of power from the central pool and technical problems in two units of Punjab’s thermal power plants.
All Thermal Units Back in Operation: Bhagwant Mann
According to AAP Punjab, the two units that had remained non-operational due to technical issues have now been restored. The party said all units in Punjab are currently functioning at their full capacity.
AAP also claimed that the restoration of the units would help ensure an uninterrupted electricity supply across the state.
AAP Says Power Supply Being Closely Maintained
The party maintained that the earlier long power cuts were linked to the combined impact of reduced availability from the central power pool and the shutdown of two thermal plant units.
With the affected units now operational, AAP said Punjab’s power generation capacity has improved and uninterrupted electricity supply is being ensured.
The development comes amid concerns over electricity availability in the state, with reliable power supply remaining important for households, agriculture and industrial activity across Punjab.
