Bhagwant Mann: In a major breakthrough against organized crime, the Anti-Gangster Task Force (AGTF) Punjab, in coordination with Ferozepur Police and Jammu & Kashmir Police, has arrested two alleged shooters from Rajasthan in connection with the murder of Gurcharan Singh Gaba of Makhu in Ferozepur district.

According to Punjab Police, the accused were apprehended during a joint operation conducted in Jammu & Kashmir. During the operation, police recovered a Beretta .30 bore pistol along with 10 live cartridges from their possession.

Preliminary investigations revealed that both accused have a criminal background and were allegedly involved in multiple offenses, including extortion, robbery, dacoity, theft, and violations under the Arms Act. Police officials also stated that the accused were carrying a reward of ₹10,000 announced by Rajasthan Police.

Authorities said the arrests mark a significant development in the investigation into the murder case and reflect growing inter-state coordination among law enforcement agencies in tackling organized criminal networks.

An FIR has been registered at Makhu Police Station in Ferozepur district. Officials stated that further investigations are underway to uncover additional links, identify associates, and determine whether the accused were connected to larger criminal or gangster networks operating across states.

Punjab Police reiterated its commitment to maintaining a zero-tolerance approach toward organized crime and ensuring the safety and security of citizens across the state.
