Bhagwant Mann Arrests 64 Drug Smugglers, Seizes 1.6 Kg Heroin Under Yudh Nashian Virudh Campaign

Continuing its statewide anti-drug campaign #YudhNashianVirudh, Punjab Police on Saturday announced the arrest of 64 alleged drug smugglers during a major enforcement drive across the state.

According to Punjab Police, officers recovered 1.6 kg of heroin, 118 intoxicant pills, and ₹3.79 lakh suspected to be drug money from those arrested. The action forms part of the ongoing campaign aimed at dismantling drug trafficking networks and curbing the illegal narcotics trade in Punjab.

In addition to enforcement measures, Punjab Police said seven individuals were counselled and persuaded to voluntarily undergo de-addiction and rehabilitation treatment, highlighting the campaign’s focus on both law enforcement and rehabilitation.
